Brendon has over 20 years in the media including servicing the rural market through Fairfax publications NZ Rural Press, Straight Furrow and Dairyman and lately with the rural website, Rural Trader. He knows rural people and the messages they respond to and is the only member of Simpatico who owns a pair of Red Bands.

  • Diane Cowan

    Diane CowanFinancial Controller
Diane has been at Simpatico for 2 years and pretends to know everything. After spending 20 years in Melbourne in various key financial positions she returned to Christchurch. Diane is an environmentalist and spends most of her spare time running around digging up noxious weeds, which sets her up well for working in advertising.

  • Sam Cooper

    Sam CooperProduction Manager
After a career as a graphic designer Sam moved into the role of studio manager and has huge experience in managing the workflow of fast turn-around high-volume graphics studios. He also has tattoos and a black belt holding up his trousers so tends to get his way on most occasions.

  • Alex Prince

    Alex PrinceAccount Manager
After completing a B.A. Hons at UC, Alex began her career as a media assistant in a Christchurch agency. From there she went to Lincoln University as a marketing assistant and later a marketing analyst until we convinced her that her powers should be used for good and she should join Simpatico.

  • Hayley Potter

    Hayley PotterAccounts Assistant
Hayley hails from Timaru and now lives in the country outside Christchurch. When she's not looking after her three children she assists in the finance department at Simpatico, mostly shuffling bits of important paper around. Beyond that we don't ask too many questions.

  • John Arrillaga

    John ArrillagaSenior Art Director
John figured out during important Civil Engineering lectures that drawing stuff was far more fun than understanding it. Why the whole world doesn't want to be an art director is beyond him. With experience in top agencies on 4 continents, he can now colour in without going over the lines.

  • Alan Cook

    Alan CookArt Director/Designer
Five years ago Alan started at Simpatico. He wished to make a symbolic start for his enterprise of regenerating the life of humankind. When he works, he works very fast, but preparing to work can take any length of time. Alan, like all true artists, creates from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness.

  • Nathan Pilkington

    Nathan PilkingtonMedia Manager
Nathan cut his teeth in the Christchurch market before returning to the Auckland media landscape controlled by multinational media corporations and cutthroat media suppliers. He has now returned as “Crazy Eyes”, a hardened media mercenary who is at his most dangerous when the chips are down – so we now no longer feed him chips!

  • Sarah Henderson

    Sarah HendersonMedia Planner/Buyer
Sarah joined us having had 7 years agency experience in media at a senior level, and before that with the NAB, The Radio Bureau, and TVNZ in Wellington. When she’s not putting X’s in boxes on media schedules she looks after her 2 pre-schoolers, loves V8’s but drives a Lancer, and sadly pretends it’s an Evo.

  • Emma Cameron

    Emma CameronGraphic Designer
Emma is the baby of the agency having just completed a Bachelor of Design in Visual Communications. She is also singer and guitarist in pop rock band Ashei. We think she may have been abducted by aliens at some point but haven’t been able to prove it yet.
